Snooze Checkout tonight!

Yes it's TONIGHT!!!

I'm quite excited and stressed!!! =D

My duckies taking flight... *awww*

Anyway I know it's not the main thing, but I was pretty free yesterday, so I ventured to make some yummy treats for the guests coming tonight. =) Thanks Dawn & Yann for the muffin book!!!

1. Rum-Raisin-Coffee muffins

2. White choc chip-Cranberry cupcakes

3. Triple chocolate cookies

Anyway for those who are wondering what a Checkout is...

It's basically like a full-dress rehearsal, or a preview performance. Main aim is to allow the band to experience a real audience, and for us to get feedback on our program and stage presence etc. =)

cluck cluck cluck!

while most of the nation was huddled around their television sets last night, I and about 7 other girls and er... 1 guy.. were having a cluckety-good time at my friend's Hen Night.

For those not in the know, this is the official description of a 'hen night':

A bachelorette party, hen party, or hen's night, is a party held for a woman who is about to be married as a rite of passage, and is also known as the woman's last night of freedom. The term "hen party" or "hens night" is more common in the UK, Ireland, and Australia, while the term "bachelorette party" is more common in the United States and the term "stagette" is used in Canada [1]. It may also be referred to as a "hen's night", "stagette", "girl's night out" or "kitchen tea" (South Africa in particular) in other English-speaking countries. Parties are usually all-female, and, if held at home, may be held as "pamper parties", or may be used to compare products like lingerie and women's sex toys (WE DIDN"T DO THIS HOR) or to play such games as: "Truth or Dare", "Pass the Balloon", or a risqué version of "Consequences".

Anyway it was really fun meeting some old friends again =) and a couple of new ones too! I laughed so much at some points that I teared! Here are 3 most memorable moments:

1. Sitting cozily in our corner at Loof sipping a lychee martini and appreciating the fact that, although each girl (and 1 guy) is so different in personality and life philosophy and life journey etc... we are all linked by the thread of friendship - no matter if it's tenuous or a thick rope! it's a nice fuzzy feeling...

2. Playing finger twister with a friend I haven't seen for ages! =D Finger twister is twister, but played with the fingers (duh). It's really quite tiring, and can be excruciating to hold the hand in various positions.

3. Feeling really touched when two of my good friends (I don't have best friends btw) gave me my belated Christmas and bday gifts. I was a bit shocked, actually, cos it was quite a lot of pressies! (Thank yoU!!!) and also moved that they thought so much of me. I do treasure our friendship of some 10 years now... and looking forward to all their weddings!!! =D
