preparing for the "niu" year

last year was my first attempt at any kind of new year goodies - and i made open-faced pineapple tarts! the verdict was generally okay... not fantastic but not bad. =)

this year i'm venturing into baking ALL my CNY goodies (except kueh bankit which is beyond me, and bak kwa which I dun like very much anyway). so today I baked cranberry-orange-chocolate cookies! made enough for 3 bottles - one for us, one for my parents, and one for my in-laws!!

the other two/three things i'm going to try to bake are:

1. Open-faced pineapple tarts - new recipe!

2. Closed pineapple tarts - anyone got ideas how I can make it look like a cow??

3. Horlicks melt-in-your-mouth cookies
